About Robert Camp

Having been introduced to karate at the age of 5, Sensei Robert’s passion for the sport quickly grew with experience. He achieved repeated success in karate from a young age competing nationally and internationally and gaining English, British and International titles.

In 2014 Robert completed his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science and became a Level 3 qualified personal trainer. He has worked at Fitness First, LA Fitness, Nuffield Health, PureGym as well as on board luxury cruise ships and is now based at JD Gym in Rochford.

After his time working on board luxury cruise ships, Robert returned to England desperate to get back to competing professionally as well as re-establish his own karate school. He stays focused on the true meaning of martial arts via the delivery of teaching in his karate schools and thrives off of developing others' passion for karate. He will go out of his way to achieve this for all. Sensei Robert feels karate truly is his way of life and counts his blessings to be able to have people attending to share his knowledge of this beautiful martial art that is Wado-Ryu Karate Do.

Not only does he help both children and adults achieve their fitness and martial arts goals but he also competes himself in karate, boxing and kickboxing. He regained the English National title in karate in 2022 and currently has a record of 6-0 in boxing.
